Intellectual property (IP) is hard to escape in modern life, it’s everywhere you go. From logos on products, to the copyright included in your favourite books, music and computer games, and even the registered designs and patents in your favourite fashion items and technology.
Effective management of your IP is an important part of your business planning as these assets can yield many benefits including safeguarding your brand, income generation, and providing the opportunity to help secure funding for growth.
By the end of this workshop you will have an understanding of IP basics, how to identify different types of IP rights, how to search for registered IP, and how to protect your IP assets, so you can feel confident in knowing where to start your own research and where to go for further information.
This workshop will be delivered in two halves with a comfort break in between (please see agenda for details). You can also take away notes after the workshop to help you plan for the future on topics such as managing IP abroad, IP for business planning, and sources of further IP support including the chance to speak with an IP Attorney for free.
